My new book, The Power of Honest Medicine—by Julia Schopick with Don Schwartz—introduces readers to Low Dose Naltrexone—or LDN—an effective, inexpensive alternative to the costly, toxic treatments doctors routinely prescribe for autoimmune and other diseases.
The book contains contributions from eighteen people from around the world—from the US, the UK, and Europe—all of whom are eager to spread the word about this innovative treatment that has helped them, and has become a “people’s movement.”
The Power of Honest Medicine has already received a great deal of praise from leading experts, including Wendell Potter, Wayne B. Jonas, MD, Ronald Hoffman, MD, and David Gluck, MD.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Julia Schopick is a patient advocate, bestselling author, and public relations consultant. She created her blog, HonestMedicine.com in 2006, a year after the death of her husband Tim Fisher, a 15-year brain tumor survivor. It was her experience taking care of and advocating for Tim that inspired Julia to share information with the world about little-known treatments that extend lives—treatments like those she found for her husband. Julia published her first book, Honest Medicine, in 2011, and continues her passionate advocacy in The Power of Honest Medicine. To spread her important message, she has appeared on over 200 radio and Internet talk shows, and articles by and about her have appeared in numerous print and online publications, including American Medical News (AMA), Alternative and Complementary Therapies, The British Medical Journal, Modern Maturity (AARP), MindBodyGreen.com, Care2.com, and TheAtlantic.com.
Don Schwartz, PhD is an author, journalist, personal historian and actor whose goal is to enhance lives through his work. His book, Telling Their Own Stories: Conversations with Documentary Filmmakers (2013), is available on Amazon. He has reviewed more than 400 documentary films online, several of which address shortcomings in the healthcare industry.
